Vanguard House is an award winning bed and breakfast in the Northern Rivers and we were lucky enough to have had Michelle Jackson from New Zealand here for nearly a year to re design the entire 2 and 1/2 acres. She has redone the entire property grounds and most of the gardens making them very easy care and planting many natives and water wise plants while still being able to make the gardens very colourful all year.
This is an interesting property as it is devided into three seperate area. The house , the lower property of which part of it has the most amazing natural roof cover from very old trees and also a wonderful river, small as it is flowing past the lower land, very cool in summer and beautiful all year, ducks abound here.
The third area is a fantastic chicken house and the most beautiful twin pony stable which has been built to last for a lifetime. The whole property is fully fenced and lets not forget the all important point being the place is flood free.
